New Name, Same Foundation

After more than a year of discernment and visioning, we’re excited to share with you that our organization is changing its name from the Northwest United Methodist Foundation to Faith Foundation Northwest. This change is happening because we recognize that our future is both diverse and inclusive

  • Diverse because denominational politics are creating complexity around what it means to be a United Methodist, while cultural shifts are driving new expressions of what it means to be a church. There are many ways to express faithfulness.

  • Inclusive because, no matter how the faith communities in our area choose to identify themselves, we will continue to serve alongside all of them.

Please rest assured knowing that the transition involves zero staff turnover. Tom Wilson will continue as our Executive Director, supported by staff members Julia, David, Sara, Heidi, and Denise. Our office remains in Cashmere, WA and our phone number is still 800-488-4179. Another thing that’s not changing is the service we offer. Our portfolios remain the same, and we will continue to partner with our investment advisor Wespath, who not only gives us good returns, but also reflects our sense of faith in action. We’ll also continue to cultivate close relationships with the Annual Conferences in our Episcopal area in order to design our services to meet the needs of faith communities.

While we may express our mission in new words, it remains the same. We’re here to help your church. In faith and gratitude, we steward God’s gifts to serve all God’s people. We’re grateful for your support as we look to the future together and anticipate many more years of fruitful partnership.

Think of the rebrand like a fresh coat of paint: it’s pretty, it’s more welcoming, and it preserves the useful life of the structure… but it doesn’t change what’s on the inside.
